Zimbabwe Hunting Concession Area:

The hunting area in covers one million-acres, right in the heart of the famous Zambezi Valley. Located next to beautiful Lake Kariba and the Matusadona Nature Reserve, this is one of the finest unfenced hunting areas in Africa and is known for its large concentrations of big game. Hilly terrain, river valleys and large forests make this a true hunter's dream.

This is a truly wild African experience!…100 % free ranging buffalo!  Buffalo herds are between 60-90 strong. The average trophy size taken in this area is 38".

Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo are plentiful in our big-game hunting areas. Hippo, Sable, Crocodile, Kudu, Zebra, Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Warthog and numerous other smaller species are also found here. We have access to smaller concessions where Leopard, Eland, Zebra, Kudu, Impala, Tsessebe, Wildebeest, Sable, Warthog, Duiker, Steenbok and other animals are found. 

Accommodation

Camps are either thatched chalet type or East African tented style all with en-suite bathroom facilities and comfortably furnished ensuring a comfortable nights rest after a hard day in the field.All camps are generator-powered with permanent structures and en-suite facilities. There is also easy access to fishing!

4 Camps are used namely:

• Ume: On the lake, good for most species including crocodile, hippo, bushbuck, lion, leopard, buffalo & elephant
• Chipfudzi: In the hills, no lake frontage, but great for buffalo, lion, elephant & sable
• Mackenzies: On the lake, great for leopard and all the plains game and good for for buffalo
• Manyuli: In the hills, fantastic for leopard and buffalo!

Depending on species to be hunted clients will be placed in the camp most suitable for your safari!

How to get there?

Depart to Bulawayo or Victoria Falls Zimbabwe on a commercial flight from Johannesburg International Airport. Bulawayo is the closest International Airport to the hunting areas. From here you will be met by your charter pilot or road transfer guide and assisted through Customs and Immigration. Road transfers and charter flights to the hunting camps are available from Victoria Falls and Bulawayo airports.
